The biography addresses Dr. John T. Anderson (1887-1918), who attended Wake Forest College in North Carolina, Furman University, and ended up a medical missionary to China. He became a wonderful charity worker, toiling long hours helping those who needed help most. He was the son of Rev. and Mrs. W.A. Anderson of Woodruff, South Carolina. An article from a Shanghai newspaper announced the drowning of Dr. Anderson in 1918. A marker on the campus of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina honors the physician.
