Original publisher's gray paper wrappers with string binding. 5 3/4" x 8 3/4." Forty pages, complete. One black-and-white frontispiece depicting the battle, complete. Pages are very clean and intact but slightly age-toned. Covers are clean and intact overall but have light chipping at head and tail of spine, browning (the gray paper is now a light brown or beige color), offsetting on back (which has resulted in the imprint of a gray square revealing the original color of the wrappers), and a shallow crease in the lower corner of the fore-edge. A Very Good copy. The Battle of Lexington on April 19, 1775 marked the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. This is a reprint of a history of the battle by Elias Phinney (1780-1849).
