Original card certifying Bradford Parrish as Assistant Manager at the Bellevue Hotel in San Francisco, California. Card has printed text and handwriting in black ink on light beige paper. "Bradford Parrish" is handwritten in a fill-in section of printed text describing his duties. Signature of "A. T. Lundborg," Manager of the Bellevue Hotel, at the bottom. No date, circa 1918-1919 (red date stamp on back appears to read, "Aug 10 1918 (or 1919)"). 4" x 2 1/2." Printed on one side only with date stamp on back. Card is virtually pristine and intact except for age toning. A Fine copy. The card reads, "This card certifies that Mr. Bradford Parrish has been engaged as Assistant Manager of the Bellevue Hotel, San Francisco for the period of one year from date, renewable. That his salary will be one dollar a year, and that his sole duties will be to boost for and direct all possible patronage to A. T. Lundbord at the Bellevue Hotel." The Bellevue Hotel first opened its doors in 1910 on Geary Street in San Francisco. It was a luxury hotel that featured a grand lobby, upscale dining rooms, and 300 rooms for guests, each of which were outfitted with baths and the latest amenities of the time. Although no longer known as the Bellevue, the original building still stands to this day as "The Marker" hotel.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Collectible-Fine. Binding: No Binding
