Original stereocard on beige board. No date, circa 1880s. Board measures 7" x 3 1/2"; photograph measures 6 1/8" x 3." Clean copy with slight wear on the edges. "Mosque of Sultan Ahmed, Constantinople" written on back in ink. The photograph shows an image of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque or Blue Mosque in what was then known as Constantinople (now Istanbul), Turkey. The Blue Mosque sits next to the famous Hagia Sophia. In the foreground, the trees and grounds surrounding the mosque are shown as well as a person walking and what may be a horse next to a cart.. Photographic Image.
