Decorative embossing mimics the folds of a waving flag. "Our Country" is printed over the flag. Envelope is unused and has no address or postage stamps. No date, circa 1896-1908. 6 1/2" x 3 1/2." Envelope is virtually pristine and intact except for age toning, a few tiny wrinkles, and slight bumping to corners. A Fine copy. The 45-star American flag was in use from 1896-1908. The 45-star flag looks almost identical to the current U.S. flag except with forty-five stars instead of fifty.
