Internally clean, and bright and crisp overall, it is a near-fine copy due to a touch of wear at fore corners and some faint light foxing on fore-edge of bookblock. A publisher's review slip is laid-in. The pattern-printed dust jacket is edge chipped and lightly toned on spine. The third part of Waley's translation, comprising the chapters from "A Wreath of Cloud" through "The Typhoon," which became the first complete English language translation of Murasaki's classic tale upon its completion in 1933., Fine
