Though the text is complete, it is missing the first leaf (probably a blank) and many prints; in addition, it is disbound, with both boards detached. [6],422 pp., + [38] p. index. One folding map, neatly repaired on the reverse, and five other plates, most of which are folding. One of the plates (Rowlandson's "Coventry," printed in 1799) is clearly a later addition; the other plates and the map appear to be original to the volume. Text leaves are lightly age-browned, thumbed and soiled in margins, and occasionally chipped. Slight worming to final few leaves. A useable text, it is offered as is. Misson lived in England for three years and his careful observations during that time are the basis for this book, which he wrote with the assistance of his brother Maximilian Misson.
