Inside text: "Yes, after thirty-six years of the hurly-burly on Post Street the David Magee Book Shop is about to move to Cow Hollow, once a rural and now still a delightful part of San Francisco. As of September 1, 1964, our new address will be: David Magee Antiquarian Books, 3108 Fillmore Street, San Francisco 94123. This is between Filbert and Greenwich Streets on a corner of an alley named Pixley. From downtown San Francisco (Union Square) this is a matter of ten minutes by car and fifteen minutes by bus (Nos. 41 and 45). Here the keynote will be informality. Indeed the Magees plan to be so informal there will be times when they will not be there at all. So, dear friends, please telephone first before you come to visit us. David Magee (1905-1977) was a beloved San Francisco antiquarian bookseller, bibliographer, and novelist. He served as the president of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA), the Roxburghe Club of San Francisco, and the Book Club of California and was also a member of the Bohemian Club and Grolier Club..
