LETAROUILLY, Paul Marie : RENAISSANCE ARCHITECTURE IN ROME

(LETAROUILLY, Paul Marie). RENAISSANCE ARCHITECTURE IN ROME, A Series of Photographs illustrating Les Edifices de Rome Moderne [and Le Vatican et la basilique de Saint-Pierre de Rome] by Letarouilly. New York: Architectural Book Publishing Company, (N.d., circa 1891). Illustrated with 100 photo-engraved plates (complete) chosen from Letarouilly's classic works on Roman architecture. The plates are clean and crisp, with some light browing to edges; a few plates have marginal chips and dust soiling. This is an English language translation of Heinrich Strack's Baudenkmaeler Roms, although the text pages are missing from this copy, with the the German title and publisher information printed to the upper board of the portfolio. The porfolio is split and the boards show some rubbing and edgewear. Lacking the text pages but containing all the plates, this item is offered as is.
