[Figurato Germania] (cm.32,5) mezza pergamena dell' epoca, piatti in carta marmorizzata policroma. -- cc. 10 nmn. + 30 tavv. numerate. Bella antiporta figurata, ritratto dell' imperatore Leopoldo, magnifico frontis calligrafico completamente inciso su rame, dedica e indice. Tutte le parti incise sono di notevole livello artistico. Rara edizione originale di uno degli esempi pių notevoli di illustrazione barocca tedesca, tutte le incisioni sono di notevole livello artistico. J. U. Krauss (1655-1719) nativo di Amburgo, noto come incisore ed editore, fu l' inventore di queste ricche ornamentazioni cosė particolari e variate che anticipano le tecniche delle incisioni in rame delle bibbie illustrate. Vari esemplari da noi riscontrati variano sempre nel numero delle pagine preliminari e molti sono gli errori di collazione; il nostro esemplare , oltre alle 30 tavole, č ben completo delle altre 10 carte complessive.
