Publisher's original RAF-blue cloth boards with black ink blocked lettering to darkened spine/backstrip; with negligible shelf-wear,bumping,creasing to edges and corners - no nicks,tears or splits present - and clean plain white sets of endpapers - hinges without cracking,splits or tears either.All corner tips gently curled,head+ foot of spine/backstrip minimally bumped with reciprocal creases.Covers with age-related blemishes,front board with a sunned border to vertical+top edges from presence of a smaller book,when previously shelf-stored,a small splash stain at bottom edge, along with 4 production/binding(?) wrinkles /creases - 3 obliquely,1 vertically; rear board also with similarly sunned border edges as front board and with some sporadic,tiny white flecks.Top edges with inevitable ageing/toning and dust-soiling, but without foxing/spotting,fore-edges brighter and cleaner and also without foxing/spotting; contents bright,tight,text body bright and clean,solid and sound - almost foxing-free,no intentional dog-ear reading creases but a few accidental,small uniform,consecutive top corner tips folds/ creases to pp223-232 inclusive. Visually the exterior appearance is acceptable for book's age,and even internally,the book is in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation.It is only the exterior faults described that prevent a higher grading.
