Hardy, who gave this book to Samuel Vincent for his boys. he gives it with love to Arthur Stanley Vincent on leaving home for South Africa November 22nd 1895'. the edition is not stated but no reprints are mentioned so almost certainly the first edition. the boards are very bright and attractive although a little shelf rubbed. the binding is excellent even though the hinges have been repaired. the condition is given in terms of the book's age. the name of the author is not credited on the title page..
