First Edition (first printing). Large 4to. Original publisher's cloth portfolio, gilt lettered and ruled, housing twelve superb chromolithographed plates by Gottlob Moré. The folder is spotted, marked and a little chafed at corner tips. Lacking the loose-leaved dedication and contents pages, but the plates themselves are in super state with just a little minor staining to the extreme edges of several, and a hint of light spotting to several margins (not impacting the illustrations).
