He served in WWII, earning a Purple Heart; graduated from UCLA in 1948; earned a law degree from the University of San Francisco; and was ordain by Hebrew Union College in 1956. He became the Northern California/Pacific Region director of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations in 1959, and in 1971 became executive vice president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR) . In 1990, Glaser oversaw the decision of the Reform Rabbinate to open membership to rabbis without regard to their sexual orientation. (EJ, 2007) Has dust jacket. Fine condition. (AMR-35-14)
