Neat,handwritten blue ink familial gift presentation inscrpt+date (1918) with same handwritten ink address,both to the front pastedown.Bright,crisp,clean,sharp-cornered,publisher's original green cloth boards with bright,crisp,single-lined blind stamped black ink bordered edge to front board/cover and within it,a multi-coloured blocked illustration [repeated from missing frntis illustration] with both,blocked and embossed bright,crisp gilt lettered foreword mention and title respectively,to front board,slightly dulled spine/backstrip with gilt letters and figure of an armed,uniformed English Soldier (of the Napoleonic Wars era),rear board/cover plain and undecorated.
