Very good indeed in the original dark green cloth as issued. An extensive flying log, covering the period August 1955 to August 1969, detailing some 2385 flying hours, from service with the RAF in the Mediterranean area including El Adem and Cyprus, to flights throughout Rhodesia and Eastern African routes . A J Cockle is mentiones in Beryl Salt's "A Pride of Eagles. The Definitive History of the Rhodesian Air Force 1920 - 1980" as having devised the "Cockle Shell" (RRAF Mark I Concrete Bomb), as well as later rising to the rank of Squadron Leader. Appropriate certificates and a few photographs also form part of this log.
