Dr. Archelaus G. Field (1829-1924) was a longtime Des Moines doctor and surgeon. He was also much involved with local and statewide medical and scientific groups. In 1914, he published an autobiography, Scraps, which contains a compilation of his speeches and articles. In this account book, Field lists patients, medical service rendered, and fee charged.
