Small 8vo. 41pp sewn into plain card wrappers with an integral 'crown and sceptre' decorated dust wrapper which exhibits several small areas of light miscellaneous staining and discolouration. With a title page decoration and three delightful Ravilious chapter header wood engravings, plus a five-panel folding map tipped to the inner rear wrapper, as called for. The final printed sheet (which it suggests should be removed and handed to a ticket collector) remains in situ. Former owner name inked to the front endpaper alongside two small areas of faint tape residue marks. Three essays on England and English culture ('The Beauty of Southern England', 'Social and Sporting Season' and 'The Birthplace of English History'), each accompanied by a Ravilious engraving, prepared for the use of overseas tourists visiting during the Royal Jubilee of 1935.
