A virtually fine, unopened copy in the uncommon dust wrapper, non-price-clipped but lightly toned at the spine panel and the margins of the front and rear panels, and with a touch of wear to the head of the spine panel. A two-page Apology by the author precedes twenty-four essays. A superb copy, printed by the Cambridge University Press in Perpetua type designed by Eric Gill - the first ever use of this font (there is some printed underlining in the text to represent italics - the italic form of Perpetua was not available when the book went to press)..
