The first appearance of Einstein's important paper, constituting the most complete statement of the mathematical bases of his Entwurf Theory. This paper marks enormous advances on his 1912 first attempts at a generalised theory of relativity, and apart from the omission of gravitational field equations that were not generally covariant, is virtually the final general theory of relativity as published a year later.
