Title and author's name stamped in silver to front board. Copper/gold and silver design encircles title. Copper rules and silver lettering to spine. Light brown endpapers. Six pages of publisher's ads at end of book. There is a small spot on the rear board and a trace of rubbing to the extremities. Small former owner's ink name, and small rubber-stamped name, plus date (1896) on front pastedown. Hinges tight. Contents clean and tight. Overall, in very good condition., Small 8vo, pp. [xii], 385. Illustr: black-&-white illustrations
