Though undated to title page,dated author note (1919) and to foot of last page of index,an indication from printer (The Riverside Press, Edinburgh) of 1920.Bright,crisp,clean, sharp-cornered,re-cased in library binding,dark blue,textured cloth with bright,crisp,stamped gilt letters and library numeration to spine/backstrip.A neat,clean,dark blue Anchor motif'ed 'Plymouth Public Libraries - MOUNT WISE NAVAL HISTORY LIBRARY' bookplate pasted to immaculate plain white front pastedown.An obliquely placed red ink 'Withdrawn From Plymouth Library Services' vertical, rectangular stamp to ffe.Usual library alpha-numerical library notations/markings /stamp to recto of title page's bottom edge.Recto of rear free endpaper's bottom edge has a taped library barcode,and finally another slim rectangular,faded, black ink 'Plymouth Public Libraries' stamp to book's bottom edges.No other ex-library notation apart from those already described.Top edges darkened/aged, fore-edges similar but to a much lesser degree and therefore brighter and cleaner; contents bright,tight,clean and virtually pristine,no foxing/spotting,no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners, possibly unread - solid and sound.Some library tape strengthening to majority of the b/w plates/photographs and to some other pages too.UK,ex-lib 12mo HB,no dw/dj - ex-public library,1st edn,7-303pp [paginated] includes author's note dated 1919,author intro,separate contents+ illus lists/tables,26 chapters,b/w plan of 55' coastal motor boat,20 contemporary b/w photographs,33 b/w line illus/figs - all called for and present,all dispersed throughout the text and the book and an index.Plus [unpaginated]; 2pp blank, library tape-strengthened gutter edges of the following: half-title page,b/w photographic frntis (with previous owner's inscrptn to verso of same),title page and dedication page.
