Sumptuous binding, surprisingly unaccredited, of three quarter blue crushed levant morocco with gilt titles and delicate gilt floral tooling to spines, marbled boards and end papers; top edges gilt, others untrimmed. Hand coloured frontispiece or original watercolour ('Aquarelle') to most volumes. All illustrations with entitled tissue guard. The rough edges are a little dusty; some pages poorly opened; a few tissue guards are frayed or creased. This is a most magnificent set.
