First issue in the text, with part IV having the misprint "visiter" for "sister" on page 23, line 17 and with part V having the misprint "latter" for "letter" on page 160, line 6 up. Also, the plates are firs issue, i.e., plate 29, with the artist's signature in caps {PHIZ)and a dot before the letter "P" and between the last two letters. All wrappers are correct and complete; part VII, X, XII, XVIII and XIX/XX have some spine expertly renewed; neat subscriber's name on parts VI and XI. Minor wear at extremities, minor soiling to a few wraps. This handsome set lacks only the following ads: a.) Part I, lacks the advertiser. b.) Part III, lacks only the Joseph Amesbury ad. c.) Part V, lacks only the advertiser. d.) Part VIII, lacks "Heads of people" ad and Mechi's catalogue. e.) Part XIX/XX, lacks only "Hill's Seal Wafers" ad. Plates in part VI are browned a edges and plates in part XIX/XX have some foxing; remaining plates are very good fine. All in all, an exceptional set, as complete as one can expect to find.
