Bound in full green polished calf, all edges marbled with matching endpapers, decorative gilt turn-ins, rebacked wit old spine laid down, red morocco spine label gilt, illustration with considerable foxing otherwise a very good copy with light scattered foxing to text.

Octavo. In original monthly parts. [i-vii]viii[ix]x-xii[xiii]xiv[xv-xvi], [1]2-624. All wrappers are correct, as called for except the rear wrap of part XVII is from part XVIII. Part VII lacks the rare "Foreign Travel" slip, which is known only in 6 copies, according to Hatton and Cleaver. All other parts are complete, except the following: Part XI lacks the rear ad, "The 8th Wonder of the World..." Part XI lacks the rear ad, "The Pride of London...." Part XVI lacks the rear ad, "The Temple of Fashion...." Part XIX/XX has the first issue of the rear wrapper the first issue of the vignette title and the 14 line errata, which is the second issue. Spines are expertly renewed on most parts; small repairs at spine ends of part V and XVI; light soiling to front wrap of part I; short closed tears to edges of a few wraps. Small booksellers' ticket on front wrap of part VI. Plates of part XVIII are browned at edges; all other plates are very good to fine. All in all, an outstanding set. Housed in a tan quarter leather custom slipcase.
