Rating book good plus HOWEVER boards are not. Hardback. Solid brown silky cloth with brown leather spine and spillover. Gold braided detail where leather and cloth meet. SPINE IS COMPLETELY GON E. Boards are in very good condition otherwise making for an easy rebind. Endpapers are green and white flowers. FEP has 21/2 x 33/4 simple b/w paper pasteup showing ownership of Davanport Library, Ba th, New York and presented by Mrs. H. Drummer. Because spine is missing front board is completely separated and rear is literally hanging by a thread. Endpapers are a bit damaged at hinge. Due date an d card holder on reps. BEAUTIFUL AEG. Frontispiece is in beautiful detail color entitled 'Little Nell and her Grandfather. '. Other than frontispiece ALL illustrations are hand edge glued onto blank pages with guard page.4 are in Old Curiosity Shop and 4 are in reprinted pieces. All are sepia except one which is blue toned.
