The spine seams have small wounds but the security of the binding is sure and healthy. Inside, the initial pages have damp staining the the bottom edges. The frontispage has a previous owner signature (Redvers J. Blatt - a well know expert on fruit growing; he had graduated from the University of California in 1923 and was soon after estate manager at the Zebediela Estate that, unusually for the time, employed white Afrikaans women as packers).
