The maps are originally dissected and backed by linen in fine condition., 8vo, P. (4), half-title, (1), title, printer’s imprint, dedication, (1), 7-280, 2 folding maps, (4)., Includes 9 photogravures and 2 folding linen backed maps.

The book details the history of Santiago during the Spanish-American war, an armed military conflict between Spain and the United States over the liberation of Cuba. The maps in the back depict the positions of the opposing armies near Santiago. The author was the second commandant of Cuba.
