This is a collection of Fantasy / Horror stories for adults (he was best known for his science fiction stories for young adults). Most wonderfully for anyone who loves surprises in book, there are eight unique colour plates by Bruce Angrave. They are broadly surrealist in style with a naive quality. The colours burst with a fresh vibrancy and vividness. The copy has been much owned and not very generously stored. The covers are much worn, scuffed and marked. They are however, secure and sure. Inside, the pages are worn with some occasional creasing. They are clear, assured, pleasant, eager and really rather exciting.
