Cohen was concerned with many issues of Eastern European Jewish immigration, and actively campaigned for the settlement of Jews in Texas to avoid poor conditions in crowded cities on the East Coast. Henry Cohen was Rabbi of the Congregation B’nai Israel in Galveston, Texas. Subjects: Jews – Texas. History. Galveston. OCLC lists 8.
