Pearl]; List of the Committee; List of the contributors to the appeal headed by Her Majesty the Queen, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Her Majesty the Queen Mother; Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Baro ness Spencer-Churchill. Each entry hand inscribed in ink by the Mr W.A. Brake throughout with the names of the 4,410 inscribers. The Commission for the Churchill Statue was awarded to the Welsh sculpture Ivor Robert-Jones who created the 12 foot statue that stands today outside Parliament in London. The Queen unveiled the statue in 1973 and this large manuscript book is the only copy that exists. Bound by Sangorski and Sutcliffe free of charge and bound with fine paper donated by Mr S. Bray. This rare book was issed in a handful of copies only including two at Chartwell. This copy belonged to the statue's creator the late Ivor Roberts-Jones. Bound in green buckram with gilt Churchill's coat of arms to the front cover. 'Fiel Pero Desdichado'. Unknown number of copies but none have appeared at auction and only the 2 Chartwell copies are catalogued. No copy inany other librarty can be found. As the massive tome was hand-written it must have only produced in a tiny handful of copies.. original manuscript. Book Condition: Fine. Binding: hardcover
