Pages have slight age toning throughout. A few pages in the back have small closed tears along the gutter not affecting text or illustrations. Covers are very clean and intact except for light to moderate darkening throughout, slight rubbing, and slight wear to corners and head and tail of spine. Binding is tight. A Very Good copy. The famous Christian allegory by John Bunyan (1628-1688), an English author and Puritan preacher. The first printing of the illustrations contained herein. Replete with illustrations, some of which are full-page, and border decorations around the text. "Embellished with over one hundred and twenty designs done by three brothers, George Woolliscroft Rhead, Frederick Rhead, Louis Rhead."
