A most agreeable copy of Alice Balfour (sister of a future British prime minister, and being of a somewhat scientific inclination she wrote detailed letters about the tsetse fly) and her journey from Kimberley to Umtali. The dustjacket has a clear cellophane protective jacket. The dustjacket is wistfully charming. It has some wear to the shelving edges. The cover is handbound in leather with gilt decoration and titling (these are fresh and vivacious). The head and foot of the spine and the shelving edges have very light shelving wear.
