Original cover (envelope) on beige paper with a cachet on front, a beautiful hand-drawn, hand-colored illustration of a man and woman wearing traditional Mexican attire. The illustration is signed, "B. G." Two Mexican postage stamps tipped in upper-right corner with a cancellation postmark, a purple c. 1950s "35 Cts Correos Mexico Entrega Immediata" stamp (with illustration of hands and dove) and a dark gray c. 1954 "30 Cts Correo Aereo Mexico; Cuauhtemoc" stamp (with illustration of Cuauhtemoc). "Via Air Mail" sticker also tipped in on front. Envelope is used and has an address to Robert Schmidt in Ontario, California. Postmarked July 19, 1958. 6 1/2" x 3 1/2." Envelope is virtually pristine and intact except for age toning. A Fine copy. This envelope was sent to California from Mexico. The decorative illustration was drawn in fine black ink and features greens, pinks, and many other colors done in watercolor.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Collectible-Fine.
