The Lincoln Centennial Association (LCA) was founded in 1908 on the occasion of celebrating the centennial of Abraham Lincoln's birthday. The LCA still exists to this day as the Abraham Lincoln Association (ALA), a scholarly forum that focuses on the study of Abraham Lincoln. This issue features the article, "Atlantic Monthly Lincoln Letters Spurious," by Paul M. Angle. In it, Angle makes the case for disproving the authenticity of letters purportedly written by Lincoln that were recently published by the Atlantic Monthly.
