Original black and white publicity photograph that shows the stage set and dancers in costume for the American Ballet Theatre's production of Bluebeard (1941). No date, circa 1941. 9 1/4" x 7 1/4." Professional imprint of photographer Maurice Seymour in lower-left corner. On the back are two stamps that say, "'Bluebeard'" and "S. Hurok presents the Greatest in Russian Ballet by the Ballet Theatre." Photograph is very clean and intact. A fine copy. Bluebeard, was adapted by Michel Fokine from Jacques Offenbach's opera, Barbe-bleue. The ballet was first performed by the Ballet Theatre in Mexico City in 1941. The stage set and costumes were designed by Marcel Vertes.. Photographic Image. Book Condition: Collectible-Fine. Binding: No Binding
