Black & White Photo of her upper body with her right finger up to her lips. Clara Kimball Young (1890-1960) American actress in silent movies from 1912 with Vitagraph Studios along with her husband James Young. Her 1914 film "My Official Wife", which was directed by her husband made her a star and was signed by Lewis J. Selznick [the film is now lost]. Between 1916 and 1919 Clara was involved with Lewis Selznick causing a messy divorce, and became involved with Harry Garson who caused her career to fade through poor movie selections. Her last silent film was in 1925 "Lying Wives", she went into vaudeville and did some minor roles before retiring in 1941. There is a star of hers on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The inscription on the photo was to Hal Mohr (1893-1974) and Evelyn Venable (1913-1993) who played opposite Valentino. Hal Mohr was a Academy Award winning cinematographer. He was married to the actress Evelyn Venable. Some unevenness in the ink in the inscription.. Photographic Image. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
