Drawing exclusively on the work of Australian artists making prints from 1990 to 1995, he argues for a revival of interest in Australian printmaking in recent years. He identifies three principal reasons for this revival: the impact of new technologies, such as computer-manipulated images and laser prints; the impact of Australian Aboriginal prints; and the new relationship which Australian printmakers are establishing with the Asia Pacific region.
