With a camera portrait frontispiece of the author by E.O.Hoppé. A sixteen-page memoir of the author (killed by a German sniper in November 1916 during the battle of the Ancre) by Rothay Reynolds precedes thirty-three short stories. Cloth a little rubbed at the extremities, the backstrip lightly tanned and the spine lettering just a little dulled. A touch of spotting to the preliminary leaves and a tiny area of scuffing to the front endpaper where a pencilled price has been erased, alongside the faint trace of an almost entirely erased former owner name.
