First Edition (first printing) of his uncommon first book, which comprises the 105-page novel Frinck followed his short verse collection Summer With Monika. 8vo. 143pp. Pink boards lettered in black at the spine and upper board. Edges lightly spotted and the backstrip ends gently bruised. Some tape residue marks to the pastedowns and free endpapers. A touch of occasional mostly marginal spotting and staining. Several binding strings snapped at different gatherings, but the binding still perfectly sound. Contemporary former owner details neatly inked to the head of the front free endpaper. An almost very good copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper, rubbed and a little chafed at the spine ends and corner tips with several minute fractions of loss, and with a little further creasing to the natural folds. The author's most uncommon first book, preceded only by appearances in the anthologies Young 'Commonwealth Poets '65' (1965) and 'The Mersey Sound' (1967).. Book. Book Condition: Good.
