Rensburg, Hans van : Their Paths Crossed Mine - Memoirs of the Commandant-General of the Ossewa-Brandwag

Central News Agency, Ltd., South Africa, 1956

279 pages (complete). These memoirs of the Afrikaner nationalist leader Hans van Rensburg are in general good condition. Van Rensburg was much persuaded by national-socialism after a visit to Nazi Germany, and during his time at the Ossewa-Brandwag, he and his peers were advocates of a 'sjambokracy' or 'the law of the whip'. The dustjacket is much worn and torn about the extremities. The dj covers are scuffed and worn. Nonetheless, the dj is whole and stoic. The green board cover is good-looking, neat and smart. There is very mild wear to the corners and the head and foot of the spine. The frontis and end pages are tanned. The pages are clear, clean, confident, assured, firm and very healthy. fk.
