Unpaginated, sixteen pages, complete. Many black-and-white illustrations, complete. Predominantly illustrations with introduction and reprinted extracts. Pages and covers are very clean and intact overall except for slight age toning, some wrinkling, a closed tear measuring about 3/4" from fore-edge on back cover (slightly affecting illustrations on back cover and inside of back cover), and two vertical fold lines throughout publication. A Very Good copy. Commemorative souvenir booklet that was published to accompany the famous war memorial, Le Pantheon de la Guerre. This memorial was a monumental painted mural that paid tribute to veterans and wartime figures of France and its allies during World War I. The mural was made by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse, Auguste-Francois Gorguet, and about 130 other artists. Le Pantheon de la Guerre was visited by about three million people from its opening in 1918 to 1927.
