Illustrated with photos and drawings in text, and one fold- out chart. 229 pp. Octavo, two-toned (black/brown) paper wrappers, gilt- stamped title to spine and top wrap. Ink note on the first page: "Gift from Dr. Walter of Stevens Co. on occasion of visit to Erlangen. April 1961." This copy was bound without pp. 185-188; and a few pages of the index are numbered incorrectly (125-128 for 225-228). Light creasing to upper wrap and some minor edgewear. Internally, it is a bit over-opened at either end, and there are a couple of small ink marks in a few places, else clean. Scarce.
