Original black and white photo postcard with sepia tones. No date, circa 1920s-1930s. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2." Title printed in the center of the image. Postcard is unused. Postcard is very clean and intact overall except for a few small spots (dampstains) on the image. A Very Good copy. This postcard shows the intersection of Franklin and Alvarado Streets in Monterey, California. A man stands with a shovel in the intersection which is under construction. Several more people are in the background on the sidewalk with one on a horse-drawn cart. A couple signs for businesses are visible on the right. One denotes a "Restaurant and Oyster Depot." The other business sells "Tinware" and "Stoves.". Postcard. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good.
