Glassine dust wrapper has an original illustrated sticker closing the top flap on the back of the wrapper. Some pages unopened. Pages and covers of the book are very clean and intact. Dust wrapper has some chipping at the edges and corners and a red mark running along the right side on the back. A fine book in a fine dust wrapper. Herbert Read (1893-1968) was an English philosopher, literary critic, poet, and art historian. In this book, he writes about Julien Benda (1867-1956), a French philosopher and novelist.. Book.
