Original publisher's beige paper wrappers backed with brown leather. No date, circa 1910s-1920s. 6 1/2" x 3 3/4." Five unnumbered black-and-white photo postcards, one may be missing in the front (each has a perforation along the spine). Postcards are unused. Covers and postcards are very clean and intact. Slight edge and corner wear to the covers and wrinkling along the spine. A Very Good copy. An album of real photo postcards showing quaint mountain scenes in and around Strawberry, California. The subjects include a residence in Strawberry, a view of Lovers Leap (mountain and valley scene), another view of Lovers Leap (cattle in the foreground in a meadow), a car traveling on a bridge over a river, and a view of the American River. Putnam & Valentine was founded by John R. Putnam and Carlton Valentine in 1895. John and Carlton were photographers based in Los Angeles, California. John's son, Arion, also joined the company.
