Millar, in the Strand, MDCCLVIII [1758].- XV,299 p.: con 2 láminas grabadas al cobre; 4º menor (20,5 cm); Texto en inglés; Enc. en Plena piel época; filetes dorados paralelos recuadrando los planos, cantos con rueda en seco.- Introducido en América por los españoles el cultivo del gusano de seda en el siglo XVI, y viendo los ingleses su potencial económico, lo introdujeron en sus colonias de Norteamérica en el siglo XVIII. Siendo el presente libro uno de los primeros manuales en lengua inglesa para su cultivo y explotación racionales.* La encuadernación fatigada, con los bordes rozados, las esquinas rozadas y con pequeñas faltas de piel, las bisagras (juntas de plano con lomera) rajadas pero no desprendidas. El interior con el papel fuerte pero con manchas de óxidación por su composición química. La encuadernación se ha restaurado en lo posible, quedando el libro con buen aspecto.
