Typescript for an episode of The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour that aired 8:00-9:00 p.m. on May 31, 1934. The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour (also known as The Rudy Vallee Show, The Fleischmann Yeast Hour, and The Fleischmann Hour) was a musical variety radio show that was broadcast on NBC from 1929-1936. In 1936, its name changed to The Royal Gelatin Show which aired until 1939. In its time, The Fleischmann's Yeast Hour was a top-rated program, and many actors and actresses made their debut on the show. Included in this episode are the following: a sketch comedy with Bob Hope and his two assistants, "Maximillian F. Stomachlaff" and "Murgatroyd P. Tummygiggle"; commercial for Fleischmann's Yeast; a scene from the dramatic play, Mary Stuart, that stars Margaret Anglin as Mary, Queen of Scots, and Judith Anderson as Queen Elizabeth I of England; another commercial for Fleischmann's Yeast; songs performed by Miss Denning and four others; script for a spot with author Hendrik Willem van Loon; third commercial for Fleischmann's Yeast; a comedy segment with Stomachlaff and Tummygiggle; and script cuing various musical numbers..
