Signed by Author(s)112 pages (complete). A hardy copy that has suffered from inconsiderate storage. Signed by McKinney (full name) on the frontispiece. The signature has faded a little but is still genial and assured. Numbered 73 of a limited edition of 400 copies. Portrait sized. Board covers that are worn all about, scuffed, marked and stained. The back face has been wrinkled by damp. This does not transfer. The covers are sound and firm. Within, the contents have damp storage stains about the foot of the pages. The cartoons and text are unaffected. Some pages have short closed tears to the spine edges at the foot. The cartoons are imperial in spirit with a firm patriotic defiance. Beautifully crafted and drawn the cartoons have, at times, a suitable South African slant (including a crack at Louis Botha's republicanism and German atrocities in Hereroland). The copy, although marked from the storage, is assured, certain, very confident, accessible and amenable. An agreeable copy for curiosity and resource and entertainment. fk. Book Condition: Poor. The cloth covered covers are much worn, scuffed and marked. They are secure and assured. Within, the contents have age related marks and tanning about the edges. There is user wear throughout.
