There is a memorial photo of him with July 19, 1906-Oct 28, 1977 under it opposite title page. This has been one of, or arguably the, Bible of bone tumors since its 1st ed in 1952. As per the preface to that edition, the studies in the book were based on material studied with Henry Jaffe from 1938-1948 at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in N.Y. (now part of the NYU program.
